Concrete Chipping Company FAQs
General Chipping is searching for safety-focused concrete chippers to join our team. Our concrete chipping professionals travel the nation by truck, providing concrete chipping, silo cleaning and central mixer cleaning services for clients in the concrete and construction industries.
Previous experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided. In addition, ongoing company-provided OSHA safety training is required of all General Chipping team members
A Few Things You Should Know about Concrete Chipping Work
Working with General Chipping isn’t like most other concrete jobs. (In our opinion, it’s better!) Before making the decision to begin chipping concrete, you should know what the work entails.
- Concrete Chipping Pros Often Work Unusual Hours: Most concrete chipping appointments take place in 12-hour shifts, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. That can vary, however, depending on the client.
- Concrete Chipping Work is Physically Demanding: Our work requires us to climb inside ready mix truck drums and cement silos, to use pneumatic tools, access high places and lift heavy objects. Rest assured we’ll offer proper PPE and safety training every step of the way, and ensure you have adequate time to warm up before your work begins.
- Concrete Chipping and Silo Cleaning Work Involve Tight Spaces: Work within confined spaces presents a unique set of risks, especially when flying debris and cement dust enter the mix. We work hard to ensure our team members are adequately trained to take on each and every job.
- Our Concrete Work is Incredibly Rewarding: You know the intense satisfaction that comes with cleaning up a room that’s gotten way outta hand? We get to experience that each day. At the end of a hard day’s work, we’re left with gleaming silos, cleaned-out drums and clients who are ready to take on whatever work lies ahead. It’s a pretty great feeling.
